2. Open House on November 12 and New Exhibition at Art & Architecture Library
The Art & Architecture Library will be hosting its second annual open house on Wednesday, November 12 from 3 until 6 pm. It will be an occasion for the Library to showcase its new exhibition, [De]Code: Images and Their Structures, which will be on view through the Winter Quarter.
The exhibition brings together works that draw attention to the physically and culturally constructed nature of images: how space and depth are designated, how scale is created and discerned, how time is represented and understood. Highlights include a facsimile of the fourteenth-century Yüan Dynasty handscroll Fuchun shan jü tu [Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains]; Gerhard Richter’s 128 Details from a Picture; and László Moholy-Nagy’s 60 Fotos.
The open house will include hors d'oeuvres, examples from the Library's video art collection, a Visual Resources Center image slide show, and art book giveaways for students. All are welcome!

4. *** Reference Question of the Week ***
Question: Can I print from my laptop here in Green to a Green Library printer?
Answer: Yes you can. All the directions to set up your laptop for accessing networked printers on Campus are on the Printing web site. The box at the side, Printer Setup Instructions, tells about each system configuration. The list of printer names on Campus, including the Libraries, is at View Printers for: on this page. However, the library list of room locations for particular printer names is on the Libraries' website.
You can find more reference questions and answers at the Information
Center Web site.
To contribute to the Reference Question of the Week feature of SULAIR News, submit your question
and answer through the SULAIR News online submission form.
